Fashion Fellowship
Driven by passion
The Fashion Fellowship Program at Wright House is a transformative 9-month experience designed to empower underrepresented youth through fashion, technology, and community action. Participants explore every aspect of the fashion industry—from sewing, screen printing, and digital design (CLO 3D, Unreal Engine) to business strategy, marketing, and sustainable production. Each resident develops their own fashion collection, hosts a self-produced runway show, and operates a retail store within Wright House. The program includes weekly mentorship from fashion professionals, hands-on manufacturing support, and educational workshops rooted in sustainability and cultural expression. Residents also engage in social justice projects, using fashion as a tool for storytelling and activism, while connecting with mutual aid efforts like the community fridge. The residency culminates in a graduation showcase, scholarship awards, and a pitch competition where students can earn startup capital for their brand. This program is open to youth ages 18 – 25, especially those from diverse backgrounds, and low-income backgrounds. No experience is required—just passion and commitment. Wright House’s mission is to develop the next generation of designers who are not only style-conscious but socially responsible, creating a fashion ecosystem rooted in justice, creativity, and economic empowerment.
